Natural Hair: My opinion

Hey everyone!! so i guess today i wanted to talk about my natural hair. Natural hair is normally looked at as kinky, messy, frizzy and it's normally not worn out because black women feel so judged and embarrassed that their hair isn't straight and as long as other women. Straight and naturally wavy hair has normally been considered " Beautiful " For years but now, things are changing. In my life, I personally HATED my hair. Like i mean H A T E D..I permed it ( using chemicals to make it straight ), and i never wore it out. I hid it under extensions never showing my hair to anyone for 4 years straight, scared of being laughed at and compared to my other friends. After cutting out all the perm that was causing horrible damage to my hair, and causing so much breakage, I saw my hair for what it really is. NATURAL. And its just beautiful. From the curl pattern, to the twist outs, braid outs, and puffs. Just so beautiful. Even though it takes forever to style and take care of, its the hair i've been blessed with and i have found so much confidence in it.
